The Person of the Year Award honors an outstanding individual for their work in advancing sports diversity. This year’s honoree is an athlete who actively participates in Seattle’s Emerald City Softball League and the North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance (NAGAAA) Gay Softball World Series. But his commitment to sports and diversity goes beyond his time on the softball diamond. As a Regional Human Resources Director at Cintas Corporation, Mark has been a catalyst in creating a partnership between Cintas and NAGAAA through the company’s sponsorship of NAGAAA’s Gay Softball World Series in 2021, 2022 and 2023.

For a Fortune 500 company to acknowledge the importance of the LGBTQ+ community in the proud way Cintas has, is a true testament to its values and commitment to diversity by recognizing the community year-round. In addition to having DEI mission and vision statements, Cintas has a Partner Business Resource Group (PBRG) dedicated to DEI work, with Mark as the PBRG Vice President and upcoming President elect.

It is because of his passion, commitment and advocacy of DEI for everyone that Compete Sports Diversity has selected Mark Little as our 2023 Person of the Year.
