As the NFL playoffs for the Stanley Cup heat up, and hockey being notorious as a field of battle raught with tension, anxiety and aggression. It is no surprise to see different acts of aggression and dominance among players and teams who are trying to intimidate their opponents. It’s like Sun Tzu’s Art of War on ice.

Boston Bruin’s player Brad Marchand has adopted a new tactic in which to intimidate his opponents, one that might just work, that is if the NFL would permit him to continue. Brad Marchand licks his opponents. Seriously, watch this…

Now that is an effective way to catch your opponents off guard and break their focus. Yet the NFL says “nope!” and has ordered that Brad Marchand cease his licking shenanigans. Which is a sad day for Brad and the rest of us that suddenly found a new interest in hockey!

I am sure Marchand is disappointed to, when asked about the licking incident, he responded…

“I thought he wanted to cuddle. I just wanted to get close to him, he keeps trying to get close to me. I don’t know if he’s got a thing for me or what. He’s cute.”

Love at first fight! <3
