LA Flag Football Comes Home with Pride Bowl Championship Trophy, Looks forward to 2018 Gay Bowl

Los Angeles Flag Football had a strong representation at the 2018 Pride Bowl held in Chicago this past June. Fielding 2 teams, an A team and a B team with no shortage of adversaries. Both teams took part in the event and went against teams from all over the country in their respective divisions. They had to contend with everything from bad weather to injuries, but it wasn’t enough to stop them.

LA Flag Football is the premier LGBTQ+ Flag Football League in Los Angeles, a member of the North American Gay Flag Football League (NGFFL), LAFF has players represented every color of the rainbow. With many openly gay, lesbian, transgender, queer and straight athletes of many different races and ethnicities. LAFF represents the true strength in diversity that Los Angeles is known for.

The B team came home from the Pride Bowl with a respectable 3rd place win. The A team came home with the championship trophy!

While exhausted and no doubt a bit muddy. LAFF is already looking ahead toward the 2018 Gay Bowl to be held this September 13th-16th in Denver, Colorado. LAFF is planning to send at least 2 teams, possibly 3 to Denver and is hosting tryouts for the team THIS WEEKEND on July 7th.

If you are heading to Denver this September for Gay Bowl, get ready because LAFF is definitely going to make it a tough competition. Find more information about Gay Bowl 2018 here.
