LA Clippers Hosting First Pride Night of 2019

For fans of professional basketball, the LA Clippers are celebrating New Years Day with the first professional sports Pride Night of 2019. The match is up against the Philadelphia 76ers and will start at 730pm on January 1st at the Staples Center.

The LA Clippers are the currently the 4th ranked team in the Western Conference this season, with 21 wins and 12 losses as were about halfway through the season. The Pride Night will also feature a special pre-game panel for the first 100 people who purchase the Pride Night tickets. The panel will feature discussion with…

This isn’t the Clipper’s first Pride Night either, back in 2011 the LA Clippers was the first ever NBA team to host a Pride Night and one of the first ever among the major American professional sports teams. Their Pride Nights have regularly included more than just displays of rainbows, as they have included everything from fundraisers, NOH8 Campaign and panel discussions similar to what is planned for January 1st.
