Be sure to mark your calendar for March 25 and grab your running shoes – it’s time for the annual Phoenix Pride Run!
Pride season starts early in Phoenix and this year is no exception. It kicks off the week before Phoenix Pride and is organized by the Phoenix Frontrunners, Inc. The group is a nonprofit corporation advocating an environment that is fun and enjoyable for everyone, whether they identify as LGBTQ or as an LGBTQ ally. Anyone who wants to participate in an environment that respects equality, inclusion, diversity and acceptance is welcome to be part of the fun.
The combined run and walk takes place on March 25 this year and features a 5K, 10K and half-marathon. The half-marathon starts at Christown Spectrum Mall and wends its way through a course that eventually ends at the Phoenix Art Museum. Runners up for the challenge can run both the half-marathon and the 5K on the same day.
This event does more than provide a venue for runners and walkers to test their abilities, however, it also supports a number of local charities and participants are encouraged to donate at registration.
Take advantage of Phoenix’s great March weather and register for the event. Visit Phoenix Frontrunners website at phxfr.org.
