This past weekend has been full of friends, fun, food, flavorlicious drinks and of course… FOOTBALL! With the 18th edition of the annual “Superbowl of Gay Flag Football” coming to a conclusion. We celebrate the hosts for not only doing a great job in organizing the event, but also showing that the Mile-High City is definitely representing.

The Mile-High Club Blue took home the trophy in the Women’s Division and the Denver Summit Green took home the Open C division Trophy. With the Washington Generals taking home the Open A Division Trophy and the Oregon Reign taking home the Division B trophy. Of course, it wasn’t just a “Mile High” advantage, with all the teams representing playing strong and kicking butt.

In addition to the football, the LGBTQ+ Community of Denver really came out to support the event, with various bars and clubs from Denver hosting social events, parties, even providing beer trucks at the field! The Gay Bowl came to a conclusion at the Closing Ceremony/ Party held at Denver’s famous (or infamous) Exdo Center, also home to the Track’s night club. As people partied the night away and said good bye to the friends. The athletes and athletic supporters are leaving Denver full of memories, pictures and energy for more.

With the summer Flag Football Season winding down, we are already looking forward to the 2019 Gay Bowl on October 10-13th in NEW YORK CITY!!

In the meantime, enjoy the post Gay Bowl glow as you nurse off your hangovers and have a safe trip home!
