Scottsdale, Arizona – January 19, 2024

Compete Sports Diversity, a leading organization in promoting inclusivity in sports, has proudly selected Columbus as the host city for the highly anticipated 2024 Compete Summer Conference. The event is scheduled to take place from June 12 – 16, 2024.

Columbus earned this distinction due to its unwavering commitment to inclusion in sports, robust involvement in diverse sporting activities, and its high-level engagement with local businesses and community members.

“We are thrilled to bring the Compete Summer Conference to Columbus,” said Connor Shane, SDLT, Chief Operating Officer at Compete Sports Diversity. “The city’s dedication to fostering diversity and inclusion in sports aligns perfectly with our mission. We believe Columbus will provide an exceptional backdrop for this gathering of Sports Diversity leaders from across the United States.”

Key Highlights of the 2024 Compete Summer Conference:

  1. Dates: June 12 – 16, 2024
  2. Location: Field – home to the 2023 MLS Cup Champions Columbus Crew

The conference aims to bring together Sports Diversity leaders to foster collaboration, share insights, and drive initiatives to further promote inclusivity in sports.

“We chose Columbus not just for its vibrant sports scene but also for its welcoming and inclusive community. We look forward to a conference that not only enriches the knowledge and skills of our attendees but also strengthens the bonds within the Sports Diversity community,” added Shane.
