Point Foundation Expands its Community College Scholarship Program

Point-Foundation-LogoWith members of its Cornerstone Society located in cities across the U.S., the Point Foundation (Point) empowers promising lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) students to achieve their full academic and leadership potential in spite of the obstacles they often face, enabling them to make a significant impact on society.

The Cornerstone Society is a philanthropic group of dedicated individuals within Point who recognize the importance of helping young people reclaim their own self-worth through education. Cornerstone Society members support the important work of Point with an annual minimum contribution of $500.

Point has now expanded its Community College Scholarship Program. Students accepted into the now national program will receive up to a $3,700 financial award, professional transfer coaching and opportunities to network with Point Scholars and Alumni. The program was initiated in 2016 thanks to initial funding and continuing key sponsorship from Wells Fargo.
