Diana Taurasi reaches fastest 7,000 career points

Congratulations go to arguably the best female basketball player ever, Diana Taurasi, who made WNBA history on Friday when she became the fastest player in the league’s history to reach 7,000 points. It happened during the Phoenix Mercury’s win over the Washington Mystics 91-79.

It was Taurasi’s 27 points scored in that game that shot her to the top of the list that includes only two other players: Tina Thompson and Tamika Catchings. It took Taurasi only 348 games to reach 7,000 points while Catchings did it in 429 and Thompson in 460.
