Congratulations to the KC Royals!

After a 30-year dry spell the Kansas City Royals have wrapped up the World Series in Game 5 in overtime. It’s their first championship since 1985 and their second overall. Thanks go to Christian Colon who hit a single in the 12th inning for the tiebreaker, giving his team the boost needed to beat the New York Mets 7-2. Come the ninth inning the Royals, down by two, rallied on Eric Hosmer’s RBI double to the opposite field, a stolen base and a walk to Lorenzo Cain. Series MVP went to Salvador Perez.

Get the confetti ready – there’s a big time in Kansas City happening today.
